“I hope that the cooperation between our countries will continue to develop dynamically. The Czech Republic remains Poland’s strategic neighbour and ally,” stressed Minister Zbigniew Rau during his phone conversation with the minister of foreign affairs of the Czech Republic.
The aim of the conversation with the new head of Czech MFA Jakub Kulhánek was to reaffirm interest in and direction of the development of bilateral relations, regional cooperation and mutual relations on the international arena. Minister Rau noted that minister Jakub Kulhánek took his post at an extremely difficult moment. He also voiced his support for Czech Republic’s response to Russian authorities’ actions. Minister Kulhánek was grateful for the solidarity with his country displayed after Prague expelled Russian diplomats. Both ministers condemned any activity threatening the security of sovereign states and their citizens.
Minister Rau declared his readiness to address also the difficult issues in bilateral relations. “I hope to continue our very good cooperation within the V4 – not only during Polish presidency – and joint actions under the Three Seas Initiative,” said Minister Rau, and personally invited Minister Jakub Kulhánek to attend the V4 foreign ministers’ meetings, also in the enlarged format, and to pay a visit to Poland.
