Minister Rau to attend conference on recovery of Ukraine
20.06.2023
The head of Polish diplomacy will attend the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London on 21-22 June in place of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Hosted by Britain’s capital and devoted to Ukraine’s post-war recovery, the conference will gather representatives of governments, business circles, and civic societies committed to support Ukraine in its implementation of a programme of reforms and democratic pursuits.
This year’s edition of the conference will focus on the role and potential of the private sector to mobilise investments on a scale needed for Ukraine to recover. Particular attention will be paid to the factors that encourage investments, namely, measures taken by governments and international institutions to promote macroeconomic stability and mobilisation of funds, safeguard financing by banking institutions, and adapt business models. The programme of reforms carried out by the government of Ukraine will be high on the agenda of the event as well.
The conference will also have a political dimension as a manifestation of unflinching international support for Ukraine, continued during the NATO summit in Vilnius in July 2023.
