The main topic of the meeting of EU foreign ministers will be the issue of military and political support for Ukraine. The ministers will also discuss the situation in the Horn of Africa region and hold a meeting with the foreign ministers of the Western Balkan countries

Afterwards, on 23 May, at the invitation of the head of Spanish diplomacy, Minister Rau will go to Valencia, where he will participate in a tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Poland, Spain and Romania. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the most important issues in the area of security and to raise important topics from the EU agenda a month before the commencement of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
