Referring to the developments in Ukraine and Belarus, Secretary Blinken underscored the role of close allied cooperation within the OSCE, after Poland will take over the Organisation’s chair for one year in January 2022. The interlocutors highlighted the need to perform concerted actions in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They also reaffirmed that any further Russian military aggression against Ukraine will have severe consequences for the Kremlin.

- The international community must speak in one voice, act cohesively and join efforts while facing Russia’s aggressive attitude - stressed the chief of Polish diplomacy. The two ministers also agreed that in the dialogue with the Russian side an even balance must be achieved between diplomacy and deterrence. It should be based on the principle of reciprocity and take into account our anxieties about Russian actions as well as be carried out in close and full cooperation between allies.
