Minister Zbigniew Rau received PRC’s incoming Ambassador to Poland Sun Linjiang

25.11.2021

On 25 November 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau talked to Sun Linjiang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China. It was the first meeting between the officials after Sun Linjiang took up the position of the PRC’s Ambassador to Poland.

FM Zbigniew Rau met with Ambassador Sun Linjiang, whose mission to Poland started in October

Minister Rau stressed the very good dynamics of Polish-Chinese bilateral relations, despite the negative impact of the pandemic. The diplomats discussed the state of political relations, including top-level contacts between state officials as well as preparations for the third Intergovernmental Committee, scheduled for December 2021. They also talked about the most important elements of Poland-China economic cooperation which, as Minister Rau emphasised, should be based on reciprocity, equal market access, and non-discrimination. The meeting also covered the security situation in the region, with special focus on the developments at Poland’s eastern border.
