On 3-5 February 2022, head of Polish diplomacy Zbigniew Rau will visit Washington DC at the invitation of the US Secretary of State. On the agenda are meetings with representatives of the US administration including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, as well as with members of the US Congress. Minister Rau will also speak at the Helsinki Commission of the US Congress as the current Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, where he will present the priorities of the Polish chairmanship.

While in Washington, Minister Rau will discuss current issues related to Euro-Atlantic security, including the crisis caused by the aggressive policies and actions of the Russian Federation and Belarus, and the transatlantic community’s collaboration in responding to them. The talks will also focus on energy security issues such as Nord Stream 2 and cooperation with the US under the Three Seas Initiative.
