On 22 April, Minister Zbigniew Rau will accompany Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during intergovernmental consultations in Stará Ľubovňa, Slovakia. The Polish delegation will meet with Slovakia’s Prime Minister Eduard Heger and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Ivan Korčok. The talks will focus on coordinating measures in response to the war in Ukraine, supporting our common neighbour in its European aspirations, as well as on Poland-Slovakia bilateral relations. The consultations will also cover strengthening NATO’s eastern flank, of which the two countries are a central element.

In July 2022, Slovakia will take over the Visegrad Group presidency. This will also be discussed by the foreign ministers in order to coordinate regional cooperation in the face of current challenges.
