Ministry of Foreign Affairs signs agreement with Medical Research Agency
08.02.2023
On 8 February 2023, Undersecretary of State Wojciech Gerwel and President of the Medical Research Agency Radosław Sierpiński signed an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Medical Research Agency.
The agreement will allow the MFA to win another cooperation partner in promoting Poland on an international level, especially in such areas as clinical trials, biotechnology, medical devices, and innovation in the medical sector.
Its purpose is to specify the rules of cooperation between both institutions as well as the scope of common projects aimed at internationalization and promotion of science, innovation, and Polish health care institutions and research bodies. The partnership will ensure a more efficient and coordinated development of international cooperation in medical and health sciences along with health care innovation.
Both institutions agree that Polish medical innovations show great potential to create new, groundbreaking, and globally scalable technologies which will support health care in a broad sense. Polish providers already supply international markets with augmented reality, artificial intelligence or big data technologies and with solutions or mobile apps facilitating remote diagnosis, streamlining the organization of health care or supporting medical professionals and preventive care.
