Between 31 May and 1 June, the head of Polish diplomacy took part in an informal meeting of NATO ministers of foreign affairs in Oslo. The purpose of the visit was to discuss decisions to be taken during this year’s NATO Summit in Vilnius (scheduled for 11–12 July 2023). The meeting was attended by the foreign minister of Sweden, an official NATO invitee.

On 30 May–1 June 2023, Undersecretary of State Wojciech Gerwel took part in the 20th, anniversary high-level meeting of the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) held in the Republic of Korea.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its serious concern about the increase of tensions in Northern Kosovo and strongly condemns the unprovoked attacks on NATO troops taking part in the KFOR operation, which resulted in several dozen of Allied soldiers being wounded.

This week, an information campaign will be launched among members of the European Parliament. Each parliamentarian will receive a letter signed by Arkadiusz Mularczyk, Deputy Foreign Minister, Secretary of State for European Affairs at the MFA, Government Plenipotentiary for Compensation for Damage Caused by German Aggression and Occupation in 1939-1945, informing about the extent of damage caused by the German aggression and occupation of Poland in 1939–1945 as well as our efforts to receive compensation from the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Russian aggression against Ukraine, the EU’s enlargement process, and compensation for losses suffered as a result of World War II—these were the central themes of the talks Secretary of State Arkadiusz Mularczyk held with Deputy Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Josip Brkić.

On 24 and 25 May, the Undersecretary of State at the Polish MFA visited the Kingdom of Cambodia, taking part in another round of Poland-Cambodia political and economic consultations in Phnom Penh

A conference was held on 24 May in Warsaw to support democratic Belarus and develop best practices for education, culture and Belarusian civil society.

At the invitation of Minister Zbigniew Rau, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Wlachovský came to Poland on a working visit.
