The nineteenth of February will mark the 550th birth anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus – an outstanding Polish astronomer, mathematician, economist, lawyer, doctor, astrologer and translator who formulated the heliocentric theory and authored “On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres”.

On 22-23 February 2023, Secretary of State at the Polish MFA Arkadiusz Mularczyk went on a two-day visit to Belgrade, during which he met with Ivica Dačić, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as Borko Stefanović, National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

On 22-24 February, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau will be paying a two-day visit to the United States. The minister is due to stay in New York where he will attend the 11th Emergency Special Session of the UN General Assembly, a briefing of the UN Security Council and a series of bilateral meetings.

Today's meeting mainly focused on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the situation in Afghanistan, as well as climate and energy diplomacy. The ministers also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Nicolae Popescu.

On 10 February 2023, the Asia and Pacific Museum hosted Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau’s meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps of Asia-Pacific countries accredited to Poland.

On 8 and 9 February 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paweł Jabłoński paid a working visit to Angola, during which he held political consultations with Secretary of State for External Relations Esmeralda Bravo Conde da Silva Mendonça.
