Polish and UK foreign ministers hold talks

Head of Polish diplomacy Radosław Sikorski met with his UK counterpart in Warsaw today. This was David Cameron's first official visit to Poland as Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The talks focused on the current international situation, including military, economic, and political support for Ukraine and the country’s recovery plans. Moreover, the officials discussed sanctions against Russia and Belarus, the upcoming NATO summit, the crisis in the Middle East, and the developments in the Taiwan Strait. During the press release, the diplomats jointly called on the US House of Representatives to adopt an aid package for the resistant Ukraine.
The meeting provided an opportunity to thoroughly review the state of bilateral relations. The head of the Polish MFA stressed Poland’s and the UK’s commitment to countering terrorism, organised crime, and disinformation. Foreign Ministers Sikorski and Cameron also spoke about joint plans to implement enhanced cooperation as regards security and defence policy. They also discussed the need to further step up cooperation in the area of the arms industries, while taking into consideration possible trilateral collaboration with Ukraine.
