Poland appreciates the investment engagement of Korean companies operating in Poland, which has a positive impact on our economy. “We are aiming to create best possible conditions for foreign investors in Poland, and we are very open to requests of Korean companies in this respect,” emphasised Deputy Minister Jabłoński during the talks. “More and more Polish companies cooperate with Korean partners and we hope that this collaboration will continue to develop for the benefit of both our countries,” he added.

The interlocutors also shared information on the epidemiological situation in Poland and in Korea, the progress of national vaccination schemes, and the impact of the pandemic on the economic situation and bilateral cooperation.

According to preliminary data, in 2020 Polish-Korean trade reached a record level of close to USD 7 billion. Last year, the Republic of Korea was Poland’s second trade partner in East Asia and one of major direct investors in our country (with investments totalling USD 2.1 billion at the end of 2019). In Poland, there are about 300 companies with Korean capital employing around 20,000 people.
