The consultations held at the level of deputy foreign ministers covered such issues as political cooperation, including at international fora, and boosting economic cooperation between Poland and Mongolia. The diplomats also discussed the international situation, with particular attention to the war in Ukraine. The Polish side provided information on the negative humanitarian impact in the region caused by the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Deputy Minister Przydacz stressed that reopening the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ulaanbaatar in March 2021 has proved to be a good decision, taking into account the growing number of common interests. “We also appreciate the traditional ties between Poland and Mongolia, best evidenced by the large numbers of graduates from Polish universities that live in Mongolia and work in the state administration or the private sector,” he added.

The Mongolian side emphasised it is open and willing to cooperate with Polish businesses. Mongolia is interested in Polish food products and cooperation in the energy and mining sectors.
