03.12.2020

- We are pleased with the good state of our bilateral relations and we still see a potential for developing them - said Deputy Minister Paweł Jabłoński during today’s Polish-Palestinian political consultations, held as a video conference.

The deputy foreign ministers of Poland and Palestine discussed the dynamically changing situation in the Middle East, including in the context of the Middle East Peace Process, as well as cooperation within the EU, the UN and other international organisations.

We encourage Palestinian leaders to continue their efforts towards national reconciliation, which will enable elections to be held. This step will certainly strengthen Ramallah’s international position - emphasised Minister Jabłoński.

The consultations offered an opportunity to review the cooperation to date, the legal and treaty basis, and bilateral relations across different sectors. Minister Paweł Jabłoński confirmed Poland’s continued commitment to development aid for Palestine, which since 2005 has been one of Poland’s main partners under the Polish development cooperation programme.
