Press release following MFA Undersecretary of State Jakub Wiśniewski’s meeting with US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzeziński

On 15 January 2025, MFA Undersecretary of State Jakub Wiśniewski received the Ambassador of the United States to Poland, Mark Brzeziński, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting focused on new US legislation devised to control the export of advanced chips.

Poland expressed concern over decisions made recently by US administration. The US side undertook to hold further consultations with the Polish side on the technical and political levels. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C., have been in regular contact with the Ministry of Digital Affairs and US authorities, looking to continue with measures to address the existing differences in the matter at hand.
