Readout from the conversation between Minister Zbigniew Rau and US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Zbigniew Rau and US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken had a phone conversation today. The discussion was held at the request of the American side.
Secretary Blinken informed Minister Rau about the course and results of the meeting between the President of the United Stated of America and the President of Russian Federation. The US made clear to the Russian counterparts that strategic stability together with strong commitment to Article 5 of the Washington Treaty are key principles of president Biden’s policy.
Minister Rau and Secretary Blinken summed up the course and considerations of the recent NATO summit and the upcoming tasks of the North Atlantic Alliance. Furthermore, they raised an issue of regional safety and security in given parts of the world. Minister Rau emphasized Polish forthcoming presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
The interlocutors highlighted the meaning and value of the Polish-American dialogue, a form of cooperation initiated almost two decades ago. Decisions regarding the next meeting are expected in the near future.
