In their discussion of global security, the diplomats devoted special attention to the upcoming NATO summit in Washington and the international community’s support for Ukraine. “NATO leaders must send a clear signal not only that Ukraine's path to NATO is a irreversible, but also that the Alliance has political and military readiness for collective defence both against hybrid and full-scale military threats,” said Deputy Minister Mościcka-Dendys.

The deputy ministers also spoke about the possibilities of both ministries’ closer cooperation in regard to the Indo-Pacific. The deputy head of Polish diplomacy talked about the measures in the field of countering disinformation and fake narratives, which are crucial to Poland’s foreign policy. Moreover, the minister presented the priorities of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council. The sides noted that EU enlargement should constitute a key item on the new European Commission’s priority agenda.

As far as Polish schools in Lithuania are concerned, the officials agreed that this issue should remain the subject of continued dialogue, not only between the foreign ministries. As for specific schools, Deputy Minister Mościcka-Dendys highlighted how fundamentally important it is to closely consult all organisational changes with local communities.
