30th anniversary of the Visegrad cooperation
15.02.2021
Thirty years ago, on 15 February 1991, the Visegrad Group was established at the Castle of Visegrad in Hungary.
On this occasion, a violin and piano concert by artists from the Visegrad Group countries was held at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU. The Ambassadors of V4 Group, Georgia, Israel, Luxembourg, Moldova, Slovenia and Ukraine who took part in the event made a musical journey through the V4 countries, listening to compositions of Fryderyk Chopin, Ferenc Liszt, Béla Bartók, Antonín Dvořák and Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
From a 30-year perspective, the Visegrad Group became not only one of the symbols of the new united Europe and a successful political and economic transformation of the countries of the region, but also an example of effective format of regional cooperation within the European Union which contributes to the shaping of European policies and enhancing its economic competitiveness.
The #VisegradGroup, popularly known now as the #V4, was established exactly 30 years ago on 15 February 1991 as a forum for cooperation between 🇵🇱🇭🇺🇨🇿&🇸🇰.
