Patronage of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council
As of 12 November 2024, it is possible to apply for patronages in connection with the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
On 1 January 2025, Poland will take over the six-month presidency of the Council of the EU. As part of the presidency, we will host nearly 400 councils, meetings and conferences with the participation of representatives from 27 countries. We want however for the goals of our presidency to be discussed much more broadly - at events organised by a diverse range of institutions, including local governments, civic organisations, entrepreneurs, think tanks, schools, etc. The patronage granted by the Minister for European Union Affairs will result in the inclusion of those events in the official calendar of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council. In order to incorporate these initiatives in the framework of the Polish Presidency, we are beginning the process of collecting applications for the patronage of the Minister for European Affairs Adam Szłapka. Such patronage, and thus also the right to use the official logo of the Polish Presidency at an event, will be granted to projects that promote Poland's presence in the EU, the Polish Presidency, enhance the achievement of its goals or enrich the cultural programme of the Presidency.
Applications for the patronage of the Polish Presidency can be submitted from 12 November 2024 to the end of March 2025.
A detailed description of the formal requirements and procedure can be found in the ‘Principles of granting patronage’.
