Eastern Partnership leaders' video conference
18.06.2020
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took part in a video conference of the heads of state and government of the European Union and the Eastern Partnership. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the previously scheduled Eastern Partnership summit was postponed until 2021.
During the discussion, the leaders reiterated the strategic importance of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) and confirmed the need for solidarity during a pandemic. Prime Minister Morawiecki emphasized that the growing economic links between the European Union and the Eastern Partnership require huge investments in transport, digital and energy infrastructure.
In addition, the leaders discussed the EaP's long-term policy objectives and the development of the post 2020 deliverables to be endorsed in a physical summit in March 2021.
