National Independence Day
11.11.2020
102 years ago, on 11 November 1918, Poland regained independence. The memory of this historic day remains a source of inspiration to act for the good of the Motherland to this day. Regardless of the current circumstances, the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU is trying to express pride in our country and its history in the most solemn way possible.
As part of the celebration, video recordings were prepared with an occasional speech by Zbigniew Rau, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, a special performance of our national anthem and an additional surprise with the participation of Polish children living in Brussels.
On this occasion, Stevin and Cortenbergh streets, where the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU is located, were decorated with banners and flags in Polish national colors.
An additional form of joint celebration were occasional posters in the windows of houses and apartments of diplomats, representatives of European institutions and friends of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU.
Today we celebrate #IndependenceDay.
