Poland is proposing solutions to better prepare the EU for future pandemics

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki together with the leaders of Denmark, Spain, Germany, France and Belgium in a letter to the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen have called for a closer European cooperation in order to ensure better preparedness for future health pandemics.
The joint paper draws attention to elements such as building up EU stocks of critical medicines and equipment and other measures to boost the bloc’s long-term resilience to public health crises also in the context of the supply chain, and effective monitoring and more efficient information transfer.
