Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in a video conference with members of the European Council
26.03.2020
The EU leaders' discussion focused on ways to fight the coronavirus and its socio-economic consequences for the European Union.
The heads of state and government raised, among others the topic of new EU fiscal instruments aimed at supporting Member States.
Issues related to border management, restrictions on drug and personal protection equipment and the repatriation of EU nationals from third-countries were also discussed.
This was the third video conference of EU heads of state and government since the outbreak of the pandemic, but for the first time it replaces the regular European Council summit that was due to take place in Brussels.
