Video conference of EU finance ministers

During the informal Economic and Financial Affairs Council meeting, EU ministers summarized measures taken to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis and discussed the roadmap for strengthening the recovery in the European Union. Poland was represented by the Minister of Finance Tadeusz Kościński.

Discussion was also focused on the European Semester 2020 country reports and the implementation of the 2019 country-specific recommendations.


Ministers held a discussion following a presentation by the European Commission of the approach to further strengthen the EU's fight against money laundering and terrorist financing (AML). As part of promoting good practices, changes were presented to the methodology for identifying high-risk third countries which aims at better protecting the EU financial system.
