Delegations called for the need to strengthen the cooperation of Member States in promoting European co-production in the audiovisual sector, supporting the mobility of artists and exchanging cross-border film productions and books. Ministers suggested to include measures to support the cultural and creative sectors in the EU recovery initiatives. They also exchanged views on how various EU programmes could be used to support both sectors.

Poland presented the actions adopted at the governmental level under the so-called Anti-Crisis Shield and further specific actions proposed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, such as the "culture on the web" - an initiative supporting the activity of online creators and the cinematography related to the fact that film premiers had been taking place on the Internet as cinemas were closed.

At the end of the videoconference, the German Minister of Culture presented the priorities of the future presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2020, which in the cultural and audiovisual policy sector will include: activities for the recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, support to the European public sphere, conducting trilogues in the field of Creative Europe programme and drafting council conclusions on media pluralism.
