Video conference of ministers of education

The video conference of the education ministers of the EU Member States was an opportunity to exchange information and experience on the impact of coronavirus on the functioning of education systems, in particular in the field of remote teaching.

In the discussion, Member States focused on identifying challenges and exchanging views on good practices that could be valuable to other partners, mainly in the context of further measures to be taken and possible restoration of the normal functioning of schools and educational institutions.

The video conference was chaired by the Minister of Education and Science of Croatia, Blazenka Divjak, and the European Commission was represented by the EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel.

Poland at the meeting was represented by the Minister of National Education, Dariusz Piontkowski.
