Videoconference of EU interior ministers

The EU's interior ministers held a discussion on the coordinated lifting of restrictions on free movement and control at the internal borders of the European Union. Poland was represented by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Bartosz Grodecki.
During the meeting, the European Commission recommended Member States to fully open their borders by the end of June. Ministers, including a representative of Poland, underlined that decisions in this matter would be taken with regard to the current epidemiological situation.
At the video conference, V4 countries as well as Estonia, Latvia and Slovenia presented the joint letter concerning their position in the context of the forthcoming publication of the new migration and asylum pact.
