Visit by the President of Poland Mr Andrzej Duda in Brussels

As part of ongoing talks on regional security and the situation around Ukraine, the President of Poland met with EU and NATO leaders in Brussels today.
President Andrzej Duda began his visit to Brussels by a meeting with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. The main topic of conversation was security in Europe and the threat of another Russian invasion of Ukraine. Moreover, in connection with the presidential bill on changes to the Supreme Court, the conversation also focused on Poland's judicial system.
Another highlight of the presidential visit was a meeting with the President of the European Council Charles Michel. " First of all, we agreed that what we need is European unity, both in the European Union and in the NATO. Above all, we should act together, in agreement on every action we take"- said President Andrzej Duda after the meeting with the President. "Those who have different kinds of discussions with us, as well as those who create national tensions must see our unity, because only this way we are able to defend peace and international law," he added.
At the NATO headquarters in Brussels, President Andrzej Duda held a conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Russia and Ukraine. At a press conference after the meeting, the President reiterated that in a situation of threat from the East, the West must remain united.
