In the main part of the videoconference, panellists shared their views on the current state of EU-US foreign policy relations. The experts talked about possible directions for closer cooperation and also pointed to areas where cooperation is currently a challenge. The discussion focused on three areas that may be crucial for the prospects of future transatlantic cooperation: Indo-Pacific, Russia and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East and Africa.

Speakers at the event included Antoine Bondaz of the French Foundation for Strategic Research, Patrycja Sasnal of the Polish Institute of International Affairs, and Bart M. J. Szewczyk of the German Marshall Fund. The discussion was moderated by the editor-in-chief of EU Observer, Koert Debeuf.
