Moreover, the number of active businesses is now greater than before the pandemic. Eurostat positively assesses the situation in Poland, as it ranks second in terms of lowest unemployment in the European Union.

02.06.2020Idle time benefit and social security contributions exemptions - efficient implementation of key instruments of the Anti-Crisis ShieldSo far, over PLN 2.2 billion has been paid out for idle time benefits, while over PLN 7.2 billion in Social Insurance Institution contributions were exempted. On Tuesday, the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Marlena Maląg and the President of the Social Insurance Institution, prof. Gertruda Uścińska summarised the implementation of two key instruments of the anti-crisis shield during a press conference.

During the pandemic, local governments received an aid of PLN 20 million from the special purpose reserve of the state budget.
