On January 22nd, Elżbieta Rafalska Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy took part in the opening ceremony of a new Social Welfare Centre in Szaniec.

Minister Elżbieta Rafalska signed on 24 January 2018 Agreement between the Republic of Poland and Mongolia on social security. 

On January 18th, Elżbieta Rafalska - Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy and Anna Zalewska - Minister of National Education visited "Promyczek" Kindergarten in Błonie to celebrate Grandparents Day.

The second stage of the comprehensive family aid programme titled “Za życiem” approaches. This is due to the draft Act amending the Act on occupational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled person and certain other acts, which was presented by Minister Elżbieta Rafalska and adopted by the Council of Ministers.

Easier functioning for social cooperatives due to new instruments of aid under the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons and the Labour Fund – these are only a few of the changes under the Act amending the Act on social cooperatives and certain other acts signed by the President of the Republic of Poland.

On January 15th Minister Elżbieta Rafalska took part in the New Year’s meeting in Gorzów Wielkopolski hosted by the Lubuskie Province Governor with representatives of local authorities, heads of combined administration units and other circles.

Since 2018, the Large Family Card has been more attractive. It has been adapted to the latest digital technology solutions, that is the introduction of the Large Family Card in the form of an application on mobile devices. The plastic carrier will remain in circulation as well. It will be possible to use both forms of the Card alternatively.

Poland is in the top 7 countries with the lowest unemployment. In November 2017, the unemployment rate in EU-28 was 7,3% , down from 7.4% in October 2017 and from 8.3% in November 2016. This is the lowest rate recorded in the EU28 since October 2008.
