Today, the whole world is greatly impacted by the war caused by unnecessary, unprovoked Russian aggression on Ukraine. Any attempts to rebuild Russian Empire have always meant spread of evil. We take our alliance responsibilities very seriously. This is why the Polish Armed Forces are continuously active on the entire NATO’s Eastern Flank. As our ancestors had shown us - independence is a value of the greatest importance” – said Deputy Prime Minister, the head of the Ministry of National Defence of Poland, Mariusz Błaszczak during the inauguration of the Liberty Road project.

12.09.2022Poland and Denmark strenghten military cooperation„Security of Baltic Sea area is for both our countries a matter of highest importance. That is a reason for which I am glad that we could meet today to discuss its aspects. Both Poland and Denmark are very satisfied to know that Finland and Sweden are about to join NATO family. We also appreciate cooperation with Denmark in the Multinational Corps Northeast in Szczecin where we act hand in hand as one body” - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Poland after the meeting with Minister of Defence of Denmark.

08.09.2022Cutting-edge Apache choppers for Polish Army„Secretary of Defence of United States, Lloyd Austin and I, we had a discussion devoted to bilateral military cooperation between the United States of America and the Republic of Poland. It concerned presence of American soldiers on Polish soil, but equally importantly the modernization process of Polish Armed Forces. We also raised the issue of request for proposal of 96 Apache attack helicopters, recently sent to Washington. We wish to obtain this equipment for Polish Army as our own arms industry capabilities are limited. Additionally, I asked secretary Austin to consider possibility of leasing American Apaches from the U.S. Army for the time necessary to manufacture aforementioned aircrafts. Even though this dialog has only just started I have every hope and faith that our negotiations will soon be concluded” – said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence of Poland, Mariusz Błaszczak after his meeting with Secretary of Defence of United States, Lloyd Austin.

30.08.2022Poland will support Ukraine on a permanent basis and strengthen its own defence capabilities“At the meeting of the defence ministers of the European Union countries, we discussed the security issues and consequences of the Russian attack on Ukraine. These are the security implications around the world. Our talks also focused on issues related to the use of EU funds to increase industrial and armaments production” - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak after the meeting of EU chiefs of defence.

27.08.2022Poland supports its allies“I am very glad that we signed a joint declaration of cooperation when it comes to protecting the airspace over Slovakia. I think this is a very important argument that we are working very closely together. We are neighbours, we are friends, we share the threats in our part of Europe and we try to respond to them by strengthening our armed forces in order to deter a possible aggressor” - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak after signing the declaration on shared commitment to protect to airspace of the Slovak Republic.

26.08.2022Real strengthening of the Polish deterrence and defence potential"In a short time, with our South Korean partner, we achieved a lot. From the point of view of Poland's security, the most important thing is that the first examples of tanks and cannon-howitzers will be delivered to the Polish Army this year. Later this year, 10 K2 tanks will be delivered to Morąg, and 24 cannon-howitzers will be delivered to the Polish Army. The K9s will go to the artillery regiment in Węgorzewo" - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during the approval of contracts for South Korean military equipment.

22.08.2022Cooperation of the Polish Army with NATO forces“We are consistent in building the resilience of the North Atlantic Alliance through the development of the Polish armed forces as well as constant exercises. Exercises are extremely important when it comes to building interoperability, i.e. training procedures, contacts between soldiers. The forces of the North Atlantic Alliance guard the security and stability of the countries located on NATO's Eastern Flank” - assured Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during a meeting with soldiers participating in the Amber Desire 22 exercise.

18.08.2022Poland and the Czech Republic are strengthening military cooperation“Poland and the Czech Republic are neighbours who cooperate with each other. This is particularly important when it comes to the challenges we face, and in fact the whole of Europe is facing. These challenges concern Russian aggression against Ukraine. These challenges relate to Putin's attempts to rebuild the Russian Empire. Both Poland and the Czech Republic are opposed to these tendencies. We have identical historical experiences. After World War II, both our countries were dominated by Moscow. We do not want to return to this situation and therefore we support Ukraine, but we also strengthen our own armed forces” - said Deputy Prime Minister, Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak after a meeting with Jana Černochova, head of the Czech defence ministry.

15.08.2022Polish Army Day - we thank the soldiers for their service“As Marshal Piłsudski said - independence is not only a valuable but also very expensive good. To maintain independence, we must invest in the army, military equipment and infrastructure. I did not expect that we would be criticized for rapidly increasing Poland's security. Despite these attacks and unjustified criticism, together with the Mr. President, we will be consistent in our efforts to modernize the Polish Army, increase its numbers and strengthen alliances” - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence during the central celebration of the Polish Army Day in Warsaw.
