07.02.2022Great Britain increases the number of troops in Poland“An additional 350 soldiers will be deployed to Poland. They will strengthen the already present 100 soldiers from the engineering troops who, together with Polish soldiers, protect the Polish-Belarusian border. 25.01.2022Poland becomes the 6th Framework Nation of EUROCORPS.“We will work toward fulfilling our obligation that we are taking today upon ourselves. Having been engaged in the work of EC’s internal bodies for couple of years now, Poland is already fully on board in HQ’s activities. That gives our military a good position to take up the highest flag posts in the HQ, including the Commander’s post next year.I expect that Polish officers who are already here, and those who will join soon, will show professionalism and commitment in their day-to-day activities, will collect experience and share their own perspective, how to make this HQ an effective tool of security and defence, for both NATO and the European Union” - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence, during the ceremony of welcoming Poland as the sixth framework nation of the Eurocorps.

10.01.2022Polish-Croatian cooperation strengthens security in the region“Croatian soldiers serve along with Polish, American, Romanian and British soldiers, guarding the security of NATO's eastern flank. It shows our solidarity. This is an expression of our cooperation. But it is not only the format of the North Atlantic Alliance that is the format in which our troops cooperate. We also cooperate within the European Union. I am very pleased with the decision of the Croatian minister and government that, as a part of the European Union Battle Group in 2023, Croatia will participate in the duty together with soldiers of the Visegrad Group " - Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence, said after a meeting with the head of the Croatian Ministry of Defence.

First of all, I presented information in regard to the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border. I discussed everything related to the hybrid attack that the Belarusian regime, the Lukashenka regime is conducted against Poland, but also against Lithuania and Latvia. 12.11.2021In defence of the Polish border"The Border Guard, which coordinates all these activities, but is supported by soldiers of the Polish Army and Polish Police officers, is primarily responsible for security on our border. The command of the 16th Mechanized Division is responsible for the northern part of the Polish-Belarusian border, hence the actions of the Polish Army soldiers are coordinated. Soldiers from the remaining divisions (from the 12th and 11th Divisions) also serve in subordinating the commander of the 16th Division. The southern part of the border is supported by soldiers from the 18th Mechanized Division. The soldiers of the Polish Army conduct their difficult service on the border on a daily basis " - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the minister of national defence, during a meeting with soldiers of the Polish Army involved in border protection.
