“The technical modernization of the Polish Army is one of the most important tasks that I have set for myself when I took over the office of the Minister of National Defence. In many areas, our armed forces used outdated equipment that still remembered the times of the Warsaw Pact, and was otherwise not adapted to the security challenges faced today. Currently, after 6 years of the rule of Law and Justice party, we can say that the Polish Army is better equipped and meets the requirements of the modern battlefield. This is the result of our hard work, commitment of many people and consistency in action. " - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence, during the defence industry conference.

“During the conversation, we raised security issues. Both our countries are suffering from hybrid attacks by the Belarusian side. Both our countries are cooperating with each other when it comes to countermeasures, when it comes to building resistance to these attacks. We exchanged experiences related to sealing the border, both - Polish and the Lithuanian-Belarusian border, "said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence after the meeting with the head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defence.

“Indeed, it is so that only a conscious and well-informed society can be resistant to disinformation, it can be resistant to fake news, it can be resistant to all the threats that are real in today's world. In the 21st century, disinformation is a weapon - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence during the conference "Information Independence".

“We have talked today about security, which is obviously the biggest challenge we face in the context of what is happening in Belarus. In the situation of hybrid attacks against Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. Also in the context of the ongoing ZAPAD-21 exercises. We talked about how our soldiers can train together, how together we can ensure the security of our countries, ”said Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defence during the meeting of the defence and foreign ministers of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

- We observed the exercises of the Polish Army soldiers who were transferred from the north-western part of our country to south-eastern Poland, here to the training ground in Nowa Dęba, so that they could train in this part of Poland. It was not an easy task, but it was performed at the highest level. Thanks to such exercises, which involve the relocation of soldiers and equipment, we know that Poland is safe - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense during a meeting with soldiers participating in the Ryś-21 exercise.

- The security of the Republic of Poland is an indispensable condition for the development of our country, our Homeland. We equip the Polish Army with modern equipment and make a technological breakthrough. We do all this so that our Homeland is safe - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence after signing contracts for the purchase of equipment for the Polish Army.

"We are in a holy place, in a place sanctified by the blood of the soldiers of the Polish Army who defended Westerplatte against the German invasion. We honor them, we praise them, because they were faithful to their oath to the end. Because they bravely stood up for our homeland. Because they are an example for today's soldiers of the Polish Army. "The situation on the Polish-Belarusian border is tense. It is related to a hybrid attack on our country and the European Union. But appropriate actions have been taken by the Polish Border Guard and the Polish Army. The fence is being built. (…)Our goal is to ensure that what is the target of the hybrid attack: breaking the Polish border, leading to a migration crisis - does not happen. Thanks to the service of the Border Guard, thanks to the service of the soldiers of the Polish Army, Poland is safe, "said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense after the briefing in Warsaw.

- The situation in Afghanistan is extremely complicated. For my part, as the Minister of National Defense, I would like to thank you for the nearly 20 years of cooperation between the Polish Army and the Afghans who were interpreters who cooperated with the Polish military contingent. Thanks to this, the Polish contingent was able to complete tasks properly. When there was such a need, Poland organized a contingent, we sent soldiers and planes to evacuate all those who felt threatened. We also helped in the evacuation of our NATO allies' co-workers - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defense during a meeting with Rahima Jami, Afghan MP in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
