Aga Zaryan Trio concert - closing of the 9th edition of the Polish Film Days (Polske Filmdager)

One of Poland's finest jazz vocalists, Aga Zaryan, performed at a rousing concert at the Cosmopolite Scene in Oslo on 22 October.
Forming the Aga Zaryan Trio with David Dorůžka and Szymon Mika, the musicians performed songs from their premiere album 'Sara', inspired by the work of American poet Sarah Teasdale. The music was accompanied by a show of evocative works by Norwegian photographer Sissel Annett as well as a fundraiser for victims of the war in Ukraine.
The concert of Aga Zaryan Trio concluded the 9th edition of the Polish Film Days (Polske Filmdager) held from 10-22 October in Fredrikstad and Oslo.
The Festival featured an exhibition on the life and work of Bruno Schulz, a concert performance by Agata Siemiaszko and Kuba 'Bobas' Wilk, as well as numerous multimedia and film screenings (including films inspired by Bruno Schulz's work, i.e. 'Sanatorium pod klepsydrą' by W. Has and 'Street of Crocodiles' by T. and S. K. Schulz). and S. Quays, Ukrainian films 'The Earth is Blue as an orange' by I. Tsylik and 'Stop-Zemlia' by K. Gornostai and 'Fucking Bornholm' by A. Kazejak) as well as multicultural family workshops.
The festival was realised in cooperation with Embassy of Poland / Ambasada RP w Oslo and its main sponsor was Lotos Norge.
