Ceremony of medal presentation on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw

On December 4, 2020, the ceremony of presenting commemorative medals on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw took place in Oslo.
The medal was awarded to the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Ms Iwona Woicka-Żuławska and the head of the Military Protocol section in the Norwegian Ministry of Defense, Ms Heidi Langvik-Hansen.
A modest ceremony became an opportunity to sum up Polish-Norwegian cooperation in the year in which we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw and Viktoria Niemeńska and the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Narvik.
Despite the restrictions caused by COVID-19, such important anniversaries were commemorated with festivities in Oslo and Narvik. Defense Attaché in Norway, Comdr Bogdan Anuszkiewicz congratulated the Distinguished and thanked them for their commitment to the celebration, which is a symbol of remembrance of Polish soldiers who died in the fights for independent Poland.
