Passport delivery by post
If you want to have your passport delivered by post, you should:
- write your address at an envelope,
- pay 210 NOK in cash to cover delivery costs.
Pros:
- you will receive your passport home by Norwegian post - rekommandert brev,
- you will not have to travel to the consulate again, especially from far away,
- you save time and money to travel,
- you will confirm receiving and activate the passport online yourself – otherwise the passport will not be valid
Cons:
- you will have to send back to the consulate your former Polish passport before you collect the new one;
- the waiting time will be approximately 2 weeks longer than if you collect the passport in person,
- if you plan an upcoming trip abroad and need your new passport as soon as possible, personal delivery is a better choice,
- your new passport might get lost or might not be delivered to you.
IMPORTANT NOTICE!
- Prepare a separate, addressed envelope for each passport and pay 188 NOK for each letter. We send one passport in one envelope (1 envelope = 1 passport).
- You need to confirm receiving and activate your passport online yourselv.
- You cannot change delivery form once you have declared it at the consulate.
