"Paddymania"

On the occasion of the Independence Day, the Musical Theater in Poznań would like to invite you to "Paddymania" - a concert with songs from the musical "Virtuoso" dedicated to the personage of Ignacy Jan Paderewski - one of the Fathers of Independence, an outstanding politician and prime minister and an outstanding pianist and composer. The world premiere of this musical by the American writer Matthew Hardy took place on September 12, 2020 at the Musical Theater in Poznań.

The concert was recorded at the end of September at the Music Theater in Poznań. The beautiful and memorable songs from the musical about Ignacy Jan Paderewski are performed by the ensemble: Oksana Hamerska, Dagmara Rybak, Radosław Elis, Katarzyna Tapek, Maciej Zaruski, Denisa Jarczak, Agnieszka Wawrzyniak, Przemysław Łukaszewicz, Łukasz Kocur, and guest star in the title role, you can hear Janusz Kruciński. They are accompanied by orchestra musicians: Radosław Mateja, Piotr Żukowski, Urszula Nagrodzka, Andrzej Iwanowski, Piotr Pawlus and Piotr Trojanowski. 

The musical themes are intertwined with not-obvious historical episodes presented by Wojtek Drewniak from the "Historia bez cenzury" channel, which currently has 1.25 million subscriptions on YouTube.
