Trip to Poland: entry and quarantine
09.07.2021
If you are travelling to Poland, read this information about entry and quarantine rules.
All travellers need to be in 10-day-long quarantine after they arrive to Poland. If you travel from a Schengen country, for example Norway, you do not have to go for quarantine if you have a negative covid-test taken not earlier than 48 hours before landing (from the time of test result). The result must be written in English or must be registered in the EU COVID certificate.
If you do not manage to test before you start your journey, you can do it after arrival (no later than 48 hours after entry). Some airports have testing facilities directly after landing.
However, some airlines, for example LOT, require passengers to have the test before boarding and it would be a good idea to check it with your airline.
You do not have to show a negative covid test and quarantine in Poland if you:
- are fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved for use in the EU and have an EU COVID certificate or another form of confirmation, in English. Remember that you should be 14 days after your second dose;
- had covid during the last 6 months and can prove it;
- are a child under 12 years old and are travelling with an adult who is fully vaccinated or who has a negative covid test;
- are in flight transit, stay no longer than 24 hours in Poland and have a further flight ticket;
- are professional driver.
If you are neither fully vaccinated nor have a negative covid test, you have to quarantine and inform the Polish Border Guard at the airport about the place where you will be staying in quarantine in Poland. If you travel with a car, you have to inform the Polish Helsedirektoratet (Główny Inspektorat Sanitarny) by calling: 00 48 22 25 00 115.
