The main topics of the talks were: the situation in the EU's eastern neighborhood (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus) and the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, security, NATO enlargement on Finland and Sweden, energy security, and the further development of bilateral cooperation.

Sz. Szynkowski vel Sęk emphasized the importance of cooperation with Norway both in a bilateral format and in the forum of regional and international organizations. Referring to the security situation in the region, he called for solidarity with Ukraine and for providing this country with the necessary political, military, economic and humanitarian support. “We cannot allow ourselves to be "tired" with the topic of Ukraine” - he stressed.

The prospect of further sanctions against Russia was also discussed, including the issue of restricting the issuance of visas to Russian citizens, suspending the application of the EU-Russia visa facilitation agreement or cutting Russia off from Western technologies. Both sides emphasized the strategic importance of the Polish-Danish-Norwegian project to build the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline, which from September this year will connect Norwegian deposits with the Polish coast.
