Meeting of the National Atomic Energy Agency and the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety

On December 16, the Acting President of the PAA, Vice President Andrzej Głowacki, hosted a delegation from the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety (KINS) headed by KINS President, Sok Chul Kim.

During the meeting, which was held in Warsaw, both delegations exchanged information on and experience in the oversight of nuclear facilities. The KINS representatives presented their capabilities in the field of training for licensing and supervision of a nuclear power plant construction. The PAA and KINS agreed to develop cooperation in view of the possible construction in Poland of nuclear power units based on Korean APR1400 technology.

KINS is an expert organization supporting South Korea's nuclear regulatory authority - the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission.
