Meeting of the PAA President with the Chairman of the French Nuclear Regulatory Authority

President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, Dr. Łukasz Młynarkiewicz, took part in a bilateral meeting with Bernard Doroszczuk, Chairman of the French Nuclear Regulatory Authority (fr: l'Autorité de sûreté nucléaire). The meeting took place on June 10 in remote mode.

During the meeting, representatives of the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA) presented the current activities of the PAA and the tasks of the nuclear regulatory body that will be implemented in connection with the Polish Nuclear Power Program (PPEJ) updated in October 2020.

The representatives of the French Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ASN) presented information on the current state of construction of unit 3 at the Flamanville nuclear power plant and the ASN's experience gained during the supervision and control of this investment.

The National Atomic Energy Agency cooperates with the ASN on the basis of the Agreement on the exchange of technical information and cooperation in the field of nuclear safety, signed in 2012.
