Meeting of the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency with the General Director of STUK

PAA President Dr. Łukasz Młynarkiewicz took part in a bilateral meeting with Mr. Petteri Tiippana, Director General of the Office for Radiation and Nuclear Safety of Finland (STUK).

The Polish-Finnish talks took place on July 1 remotely and concerned mainly the tasks that await the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA) in connection with the Polish Nuclear Energy Program and STUK's experience in supervising the construction of a new unit no.3 at the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Finland.

PAA and STUK representatives also discussed the implementation of radiation monitoring and supervision over the management of nuclear fuel and other radioactive waste in Finland and Poland.

The National Atomic Energy Agency cooperates with STUK on the basis of the Agreement on the exchange of technical information and cooperation in the field of nuclear safety, signed in 2017.
