Talks of the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency with representatives of the French Institute of Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety

The PAA President, Dr. Łukasz Młynarkiewicz, talked about the participation of technical support organizations in the licensing process of the first Polish nuclear power plant with representatives of the Institute of Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN)
The meeting took place on July 9. The talks with the PAA President were attended by Cyril Pinel, director for European and international cooperation, and Carmen Allagbe, coordinator for international affairs from the Institute of Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire IRSN), as well as Thierry Salmon - representative of the Embassy of the Republic French in Poland.
IRSN talks with PAA
During the meeting, the representatives of the National Atomic Energy Agency presented the current activities of the PAA and the tasks of the nuclear regulatory bodies that will be implemented in connection with the Polish Nuclear Power Program. PAA experts also presented information on the possibility of using the assistance of laboratories and expert organizations authorized by the PAA President in the process of licensing nuclear power plants, as defined in Polish law.
IRSN representatives presented the scope of their activities as well as the expertise and research of the institute for the nuclear industry in France.
Institute of Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety in France
The French IRSN acts as a Technical Support Organization. It was established in May 2001 to provide technical and scientific support to the French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN), including research related to nuclear safety and radiological protection.
