Startup
An opportunity for young teams developing technologically advanced solutions or a non-standard business models and currently find themselves in one of the early stages of development and are now looking for venture capital and commercial partners. Thanks to the Progamme, they may apply for immediate one-time financial support for the founder, their family and employees. The support is limited to 5100 PLN and can be spent on:
- Refunding the travel costs
- Renting apartments
- Other necessary expenses
In addition, the selected teams will be assigned a concierge and will receive access to office space, accommodation assistance, as well as consulting and legal assistance with the legalization of stay and starting a business. They will also be integrated with the high-tech community in Poland.
We are planning to initially support 20 teams, although extensions cannot be ruled out during the Programme’s duration if the program is met with sufficient interest.
In the next step, after the relocation, startups may apply for support for projects answering the needs of Polish industrial partners as part of the Poland Prize programme. The programme will consist of:
- Smooth transition funds + development and partner acquisition funds: up to PLN 50 000
- Proper acceleration, together with a corporate r investment partner: up to PLN 250 000
Preparations are ongoing for allowing Belarusian teams to work in the best coworking offices in Poland.
Belarusian teams will be eligible to participate in a wide array of development and grant programmes, including :
- For new commercial companies – support from the Regional Operating Programs: up to PLN 4000
- Support for research and development projects from the National Centre for Research and Development: from PLN 1 000 000.
START-UP PLATFORMS (EASTERN POLAND)
This activity targets individuals who have ideas for innovative products or services, and would like to start their business adventure in Eastern Poland. The six Start-up Platforms, i.e. Hub of Talents 2, Wschodni Akcelerator Biznesu, Unicorn Hub, Start in Podkarpackie, Startup Heroes, Idealist, help start-ups create a product or service based on a professionally developed and verified business model. For each business idea which qualifies for the programme in the selected Platform, a supervisor prepares a detailed plan of incubation.
As a follow-up, companies which have successfully completed the process of incubation, may apply for co-financing for the initial activity of their business. The project should involve placing a product on the market (first commercial sale) and implementing the business model developed under the Start-up Platform. The funding may cover up to 85% of all costs related to the implementation of innovation and the development of business activity (including team salary) and amounts up to PLN 1 000 000.
The Startup Hub Poland (SHP) team will quickly assess your application and look for potential business partners matching your profile. The selection committee will then consider your application and let you know if your team will be fast-tracked for visa application and/or receive the funding described in the section above.
Contact a Polish consulate and fill in the visa form. After scheduling an appointment, you can submit the form either directly in the consulate (free of charge), in one of the visa centres. (for an EUR 11 fee) or by mail. If you wish to submit your form outside of Belarus, please find the nearest consulate of the Republic of Poland. Individuals participating in the Poland.Business Harbour Programme will have their visa applications fast-tracked, as long as they meet at least one of the following conditions:
a) they have received education in a technology-related field
b) they have at least one year of experience working in the IT sector
c) one of the partnering companies (list below) invited them to Poland

If you wish to bring your family with you to Poland, please make sure to indicate this fact to the consul in charge of your case as soon as possible.
Prepare the necessary documents. If you are planning on taking your family with you, your spouse and children need to have their own sets of documents. After your application is accepted, you will receive a domestic visa. You will need it to cross the border.
Enter Poland through one of the border crossings.
After your arrival in Poland the Startup Hub Poland team will help you with the necessary formalities (work permits, registering a company, legalisation of longer stay).
In Poland, you will meet VC investors and receive information about the upcoming events and acceleration programmes currently looking for startups, as well as business and legal mentoring.
