Bilateral development aid 2019
In 2019, support for Ukraine was continued in the areas of good governance, human capital, and entrepreneurship and private sector. Polish Aid projects contributed, among others, to implementing key reforms, including local government reform, development of the region and vocational education, as well as growth of national and local crisis management systems.
An important area of support in 2019 was still aid for populations affected by the Ukrainian conflict. In 2019, Poland continued actions to improve access of this group to high quality infrastructure and social services, in particular as regards health protection. Efforts were maintained to improve the system of psychological care of veterans and to support inhabitants of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, including internally displaced people, in undertaking and developing economic activities.
