Ukraine
Ukraine has been on the list of priority partners for Polish development cooperation since 2005. Polish assistance for this country remains at a consistently high level.
We cooperate with the Ukrainian government in areas that are important for Ukraine’s successful transformation and the implementation of the association agreement with the EU, including supporting the reform process – decentralization, education and vocational training, public finances and the fight against corruption, as well as the development of national and regional crisis management systems. Poland is also taking steps to shape professional clerical staff in Ukraine.
We provide assistance for people affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
Another area of support is scholarship programmes.
