Jordan
Jordan has been a partner of Poland’s Official Development Assistance since 2012.
One of the most important objectives of Poland’s foreign policy is assistance for the Middle East and efforts to resolve conflicts in the region. Refugee crises and forced displacements, mainly of women, the elderly, persons with disabilities, children and youth, are the main problems faced by the region.
We combine efforts to ensure security with prompt response to crises by providing humanitarian aid.
Support that involves direct medical assistance, training courses for local doctors, and supplies of medicines and medical equipment is offered both inside and outside refugee camps. The beneficiaries are not only Syrian or Iraqi refugees, but also local communities of Jordanian citizens. Additionally, Polish Aid makes efforts to provide families with shelter, food and clothing, as well as addressing other basic needs of the people.
