Jordan is one of the countries that received the largest number of Syrian refugees. Over 80% of registered refugees live outside refugee camps, in urban or rural areas and in informal encampments. The refugees are faced with the daily challenge of providing shelter, food, clothing and other basic needs, primarily access to medical care, for their families. Due to the insufficient funds of Syrian families, only 36% of refugees who live outside camps can access the necessary medications and other health services. e immediate beneficiaries of the project included Syrian and Jordanian families with the most needs (especially women, girls and boys), seniors, people with disabilities, and people belonging to groups at risk of social exclusion - in short, families living in difficult to access and undeveloped locations - as well as active community members who, once trained, began to act as healthcare promoters. The project was addressed primarily to Syrian and Jordanian women of childbearing age and to minors under 18, allowing them to take advantage of comprehensive medical care, especially maternal and neonatal care. The project encompassed over 5,000 people. 10 healthcare promoters and social assistants attended training sessions on breastfeeding, best nutritional practices, and hygiene
