Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk

A teacher and philosopher by education, she completed her doctorate in philosophy at the Department of Social and Political Philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wrocław.

Before she became politically involved, she was a social researcher and activist for the rights of women, teachers and employees, as well as a volunteer at the hematology department of the University Clinical Hospital in Wrocław and an academic teacher. She founded kindergartens in rural areas, created the first youth councils of municipalities, and supported strikes and workers' protests.

As a member of the Sejm of the 9th term, she worked in the Social Policy Committee and the Education, Science and Youth Committee. Using her parliamentary mandate, she was involved in helping citizens illegally detained during protests. She supported protesting people with disabilities and their carers in their fight for decent benefits and the right to work.

In her parliamentary office, in 2020 she launched the Parliamentary Employee Assistance, under which she carried out several hundred interventions to protect employees against unlawful lowering of wages, violation of employee rights and obstruction of trade union activities.

Initiator of the establishment of the Team for the Situation of Women in the Labor Market in the 9th term of the Sejm, involved in counteracting discrimination against women at work and working to improve working conditions in feminized professions. She defended mothers receiving underpaid wages after returning from maternity leave.
